Public school term and holiday dates come from the Government Gazette, published by the Department of Basic Education. Each calendar on this site links to its gazette notice.
Independent schools set their own calendars. There is no single authority for every independent school, so the independent calendars on this site follow ISASA (the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa), which many independent schools use as a guide. Check with your own school before relying on these dates.
We take reasonable care to keep these dates accurate and up to date, but schoolcalendars.co.za is not the source of any calendar and cannot guarantee that a date shown here matches the source exactly, or that the source itself has not since changed. Always confirm dates with your school or the linked source before making plans. Errors and omissions excepted (E&OE).
